Exquisite Bodies

While in London and with time spare, I popped into The Wellcome Collection a free gallery where you can consider what it means to be human. It explores the development of medicine though out the ages and across cultures. It has two permanent exhibitions on (Medicine Man and Medicine Now) and Exquisite Bodies full of 19th century macabre wax work bodies - to highlight diseases caused by addictions and tuberculosis. This exhibition isn't on for much longer but they always have something horridly brilliant on. I think you would love it, especially to draw there. Maybe if you don't get chance right now, keep it at the back of your mind as the source or starting point of your self-directed projects.
